چکیده

Indonesia is the largest exporter of eel to consumer countries such as European, America, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Middle East. Eels are catadromous fish that in growth phase fresh waters development marine waters. Meristic measurement done by counting spine (vertebrates). Eel morphometric measurements include TL (Total Length), HL (Head PDL (Pre-Dorsal PAL (Pre-Anal Length) ADL (Ano-Dorsal Length). The purpose this study was analyze morphological, morphometric, meristic diversity intraspecies between populations. Based on research, samples identified were morphologically almost same populations, seen from color patterns form plain black or brown short fins. 3D distribution plot still appear be clustered one population, while dendrogram clade, species congregated each. results interpretation matrix lowest length number anodorsal vertebrate segments. This observation can concluded TV varied, PDL, PAL, PDV, PAV, ADV showed character A. bicolor. because bicolor eels inhabit Java Island widely distributed random (panmitic).

This study was conducted to record the histological features of the gastrointestinal tract of wild Indonesian shortfin eel, Anguilla bicolor bicolor (McClelland, 1844), captured in Peninsular Malaysia. The gastrointestinal tract was segmented into the oesophagus, stomach, and intestine. Then, the oesophagus was divided into five (first to fifth), the stomach into two (cardiac and pyloric), and ...

Antidipsogenic effects of eel bradykinins in the eel Anguilla japonica.

A peptide with bradykinin (BK)-like immunoreactivity was isolated from an incubate of heat-denatured eel plasma with porcine pancreatic kallikrein. The purified peptide had the following amino acid sequence: Arg-Arg-Pro-Pro-Gly-Ser-Trp-Pro-Leu-Arg. This decapeptide, named eel [Arg(0)]BK, was identical to two previously identified BK homologs from cod and trout. High conservation of the BK seque...
